A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
On behalf of the Old Paradians’ Association Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all members of the Parade community a joyous, holy and festive season and prosperous 2017. I would also like to thank you for helping make 2016 a productive year for us.
Our CEO, Tony De Bolfo in his recent message summarised what occurred throughout 2016. This year has been a big year with many outcomes and challenges, but as one of the OPA Objectives state; ‘create opportunity to promote unity and good fellowship amongst Old Paradians and the Parade College community’.
Next year we plan to keep improving and developing opportunities for members of the Parade family to participate and involve themselves in a wide range of activities.
It is an exciting time to be a member of the Parade community.
I would like to thank every member of the Old Paradian Committee for their time and energy this year. It is a pleasure to be a member of a Committee, whose aims are for the benefit of a fraternity for which we truly respect and to which we feel a real sense of belonging.
Committee members Robert Cugno (1985) and Phil Carter (1968) have both become advisory members after a number of years as OPA Committeemen.
Although Robert and Phil will be missed, it is reassuring to note that they will still have a presence when required.
Thank you to Mirella Busso-Lee for her hard work and support and for her commitment to the objectives of the OPA.
I thank Dr Denis Moore, for his commitment, energy and vision which is much appreciated and valued.
Tony De Bolfo has been instrumental in linking human experiences through his story telling and presence within the Parade Community. I thank Tony for his unending support for the ‘purple, green and blue’ and it is with a sense of gratitude that I look forward to working with him in 2017.
Keep in your prayers, those members of our Paradian community who are going through difficult times. There are a number of people within our ranks who need our ongoing prayers and support.
On behalf of the Association, I wish all Paradian families a safe, holy and relaxing Christmas and a wonderful 2017.
Lewis Derrico, President
