Peter completed his schooling at Parade in 1965 and transferred to the Edmund Rice Juniorate at Bundoora for his Matriculation in 1966. His contribution to Edmund Rice education has been enormous through a large number of teaching appointments across a number of Christian Brothers schools in St Kilda, Clifton Hill, South Melbourne, Hobart, Ballarat, Geelong and Toorak.

Throughout these appointments, Peter actively and enthusiastically embraced his teaching and sport coaching in cricket, football and athletics.

He completed a Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Science in Pastoral Counselling in the US and a Master of Social Science (research) Degree. Peter has displayed exceptional leadership and service to the Christian Brothers. As Principal of CBC St Kilda 1984 - 1986, from 1991 - 2022 as a member of the St Patricks Province Leadership Team, Deputy Province Leader and Province Leader St Patrick's Province, Deputy Province Leader, Oceania Province and Member of the Congregation Leadership Team in Rome.

Peter was then appointed Deputy Congregation Leader in Rome. He is held in the highest regard as a servant leader and a man of great faith and integrity.

His service continues in the health and wellbeing space for the Brothers' community in the Oceania Province which includes Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
