OPA Awards Program

In 2010, to assist with establishing the Awards Program, the Committee sought counsel from Parade College’s 1944 College Captain, the late William (Bill) Dunne. Since commencing his schooling at Parade College, East Melbourne, Bill served Parade College and the Old Paradians' Association for over 70 years.

Award Nomination Process

The Old Paradians' Association seeks Award Nominations from any person from within the Parade Community which must be seconded by a member of the OPA, that is, any past student of the College. Nominations are welcome throughout the year.

Hall of Fame

The Old Paradians' Hall of Fame was founded in 2010 by the Old Paradians' Association Committee. The Committee’s rationale was that a Hall of Fame would help perpetuate the memory of the people who brought honour to Parade College and who, by their contribution to society, serve as authentic role models for the present and future generations of the Parade community.

Tenete Award

In 1974, to mark the 60th anniversary of its existence and renew its pledge to serve Parade College and its students, the Old Paradians Association saw fit to institute an Award for outstanding service in the interests of the College. Accordingly, the Tenete Award, representing one of the highest honours that the Association could bestow on individuals, came into being.

Lewis Derrico Young Old Paradian Achievement Award
