PARADE COLLEGE

The VCE Class of 1987 enjoyed an informal gathering on the 25th November, at the Sir Henry Barkly Hotel. The annual end-of-year get together marking 35 years as “Old Paradians”.

Organised this year by First XI Cricketer, Cross-Country leader and Underwriter Tony Hally, twenty-eight keenly attended, after some pandemic-interrupted efforts of recent times.

Attendees included:

  • Gerard Smith – 1987 College Captain and Consultant Radiologist at Austin Health.
  • Jeff Bloom – Alban Pisani Trophy recipient and Chief Operating Officer of the emerging International Bank of Australia (IBOA).
  • Alistair Wenn – Leading Landscape Architect commissioned for 2026 Victorian Commonwealth Games projects.
  • Steven Lynch – First XVIII star and Epping 1990 Premiership Player. Steve is an Operations Manager with Daniher Facility Services. The Lynch Family, of which Steven is the youngest of 11 children, was the focus of PRIDE OF PARADE – THE LYNCH FAMILY STORY feature written by Tony De Bolfo in 2020.
