The Old Paradians' Association was delighted to learn that former President Barrie Williams (1953) had been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division for services to the law and to the community.

Barrie had a long career in law. He worked as a consulting lawyer at Morgan Legal from 2011, and before that, he was the Principal at Barrie J Williams Solicitors from 1969 to 2011. He was also a Member of the Northern Suburbs Law Association and has been a member of the Law Institute since 1959.

Barrie has been actively involved at Rotary as a Foundation Member of Rosanna since 1970 and has acted as President, Secretary, and Board Member. Barrie has also worked with the Ryder-Cheshire Victorian Homes Foundation as a Board Member, Secretary, and Building and Governance sub-committees.

The Old Paradians' Association and Parade College community extend our sincere congratulations to Barrie.
