PARADE COLLEGE

When he recently fronted up to the 40th anniversary reunion of his old schoolmates of 1979, Mark Lawson came armed with an item of clothing for the College Archive.

The item in question was Mark’s 1st XVIII guernsey (No.25 on the back) which the nuggety on-baller wore for the Parade team under the late Br. John O’Neill’s watch in '78 – the same year he represented Collingwood Under 19s as a 16 year-old.

Mark graciously donated the guernsey to Parade. “I thought it best to hand the guernsey over to the College. Perhaps it will find a good home there,” he said.

Mark represented the Magpies in 11 senior appearances from 1982-1984, and thesedays serves as Secretary of Collingwood’s Past Players Association of which he is a Life Member.
