The following is a message from Parade College Director Pathways Education and Old Paradians’ Association committeeman, John Nicholls;

Each year The Year 11 VCAL students undertake a project ‘Our Local World of Work’. Students arrange to visit a workplace and meet with and interview a business owner or manager. Questions revolve around vocational pathways, business structure, clients, customers and competitors, as well as OHS, recruitment and wages and conditions.

The project provides an excellent opportunity for our students to develop their skills and experiences. It relies on the support of businesses to participate in the project.

I am pleased to see a number of Old Paradians supporting the project as they have done for a number of years.
