PARADE COLLEGE

The Old Paradians' Association was saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Walker. Peter passed away peacefully aged 96. The Association learned of his passing from his close friend Keith Sharkey (Hon. Old Paradian). Keith was informed by Peter’s brother-in-law, Old Paradian, Ray Hangan (1950).

Many Old Paradian's would know of Peter’s role as a keen golfer, instrumental in the early days establishing and coordinating our OPA Golf Day. The Peter Walker Trophy was struck in honour of his contribution. Peter was a regular attendee at the OPA RACV lunch having attended twice this year. Peter’s grandfather, Hugh Patrick McAnuff was one of the first students at Parade, attending in the 1870’s. His Uncle Dominic McAnuff also attended the College graduating in 1931.

We extend our sincere condolences to Peter’s sons Mark, Anthony, Paul and David, and their families at this sad time.
