On Friday, 20 March, more than 30 members of the Class of 1976 gathered at the E. Bar, Old England Hotel, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their graduation from the College.
Also in attendance were former teachers Michael Kennedy, Ian Bibby and John Joss, who were warmly welcomed by the group.
Stephen Philp opened the evening by welcoming guests and providing an update on the Old Paradians Association. He highlighted the significant developments at the College in recent years, including the introduction of female students to the Preston Campus. Stephen encouraged attendees to join the upcoming RACV luncheon in May, where several female students will share their experiences transitioning into what was traditionally an all-boys environment. He also acknowledged members of the Class of 1976 who have sadly passed away since leaving the College.
College Captain Dave Natoli (1976) was then introduced and offered a thoughtful reflection on his time at Parade, speaking passionately about the lasting impact the College has had on his life beyond school.
Many attendees have now retired or are approaching retirement, and all spoke fondly of their years at Parade, with several having commenced their education at the Alphington campus during primary school.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and special thanks to those who helped organise the reunion and spread the word among classmates.
