PARADE COLLEGE

It was another outstanding afternoon at the Old Paradians' Association Monthly Luncheon.

We were pleased to welcome Parade College sports teacher and Old Paradians' Senior Football Coach, Ben Turner, who provided valuable insights into the club’s prospects for the 2026 NFNL Division 2 season.

Following a successful 2025 campaign—where the club retained its place in Division 2 after promotion the previous year—the focus has shifted to strengthening the playing group. Recognising the need for greater experience at the senior level, the club undertook a targeted recruitment drive to enhance competitiveness and position itself as a genuine finals contender.

This year, the club has welcomed ten new recruits, each bringing experience from a range of leagues, including several with Division 1 NFNL backgrounds. Beyond their on-field ability, these players have demonstrated strong leadership qualities and have quickly earned the respect of their teammates.

Ben also spoke about the pathway available for Parade students to join Old Paradians FC, highlighting the opportunity to play alongside schoolmates during their time at Parade and to continue their football journey together beyond school.

We wish the Old Paradians every success for the 2026 season, which promises to be an exciting year ahead.

If you are looking for an excuse to head down to the club, they will be hosting a 2026 Past Players Day. The club will be taking a walk down memory lane while celebrating the 1986 three-peat and 1966 premiership team, tickets are only $30.
