PARADE COLLEGE

The Old England Hotel provided the venue for a 30-year school reunion of the class of 1995. The event was very well attended with 66 alumni filling the room. Some travelled from interstate to be in attendance. Martin Joyce was even able to attend from his home in Canada!

Past teachers John Joss, David McGrath and John Nicholls were in attendance, David travelling down from his home in Queensland. We were able to remember respectfully those Old Paradians from the 1995 peer year that have passed away, including Steven Begovic, Fabian Benabo, Angelo Campeotto, Ben Celotti, Nicholas Murphy, Matthew Vicino and Paul Walker.

Michael Grech and Warrick Stapleton, College Vice Captains in 1995, were invited to speak to the group and reflected upon their time at school, what it is to be an Old Paradian, the friendships forged and the journey after leaving the College gates.

1995 was a significant year in the life of the College. It was the first year of Br Denis Moore’s tenure as Principal of the College extending for 25 years where significant change and development took place!

The Association was able to give a brief outline of its events and activities and encouraged the group to get involved and stay connected. We thank all those that were in attendance and to those that assisted in promoting the event.
