PARADE COLLEGE

Old Paradians again gathered at the RACV Club for their monthly gathering. Keith Sharkie (Honorary Old Paradian and Distinguished Service recipient) did a great job in assembling guests as our monthly speaker. Pat Mount (1963) was our Master of Ceremonies and continues to impress in the role.

We were able to acknowledge and remember the passing of Denis Toner and Maurie Tarrant. Denis was a member of the Old Paradians Football Club’s first Premiership in 1951.

Our guest speaker was OTI Racing and Bloodstock and CEO of OTI Management Terry Henderson (1966). Terry spoke of the racing industry on the world stage, and made some interesting observations about Australian Racing, particularly the money being promoted in NSW with the Everest and how Victorian racing could be improved with greater coordination between Caulfield, Flemington and Moonee Valley.

Terry is always an entertaining and engaging speaker, and we thank him for his generosity at this busy time of the year.
